The continent's adrenaline circuit
Adventure Activities
From the Vic Falls Bridge bungee to skydiving over the Skeleton Coast, Africa hosts some of the world's most photographed adrenaline moments. Most are run by long-established operators with strong safety records.
The adrenaline capital
Why Victoria Falls?
Few places concentrate adventure activities like Vic Falls. The Zambezi gorge below the bridge supports bungee jumping, gorge swings, white-water rafting and microlight flights — all accessible from the same town. Operators on the Zambian (Livingstone) and Zimbabwean (Vic Falls town) sides offer broadly the same activities; cross the bridge for whichever gives the better deal.
Best months for water activities run August to December when the rapids are at their wildest. Devil’s Pool — swimming to the lip of the falls — is only open September to January.
All in one trip
- Bungee jump (111 m)
- White-water rafting
- Gorge swing
- Microlight flight
- Devil’s Pool

Before you book
Three things to confirm
Operator certification
Look for SATSA (South Africa), KAZA membership (Vic Falls) or the local civil aviation authority for any flying activity.
Insurance coverage
Many travel policies exclude bungee, paragliding, skydiving and shark diving. Buy an add-on if needed.
Medical conditions
Heart, back and neck conditions exclude you from bungee and gorge swings. Pregnant guests are excluded from most adrenaline activities.
